This adventure begins and ends in Nairobi.

DAY 1: Nairobi

On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to your hotel.

Kenya’s capital, Nairobi is one of the largest and most influential cities in Africa, an important commercial and financial regional hub. It is the port of entry for most travellers to Kenya and offers bustling marketing, a fascinating history and numerous other attractions. Named after a Maasai watering hole, “enkare nyarobi”, which means “place of cool waters”, Nairobi is known for its leafy streets and parks.

Spend the night in an ensuite cottage at The Emakoko. Your stay includes meals, soft drinks, beer, house wine, non-luxury spirits, game drives, trips to the Giraffe Centre and Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, all airport transfers (Wilson Airport and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) and internet access.

DAY 2 – 5: Masai Mara national reserve

After breakfast, you will be driven to Wilson Airport, where you will catch a flight to Kichwa Airstrip. A vehicle will be waiting to take you to the camp.

Blessed with an astounding year round concentration of animals and site of the Great Migration, the Masai Marra provides an unsurpassed wildlife experience. A land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains, the reserve is a naturalist’s paradise where elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion and cheetah appear alongside the migratory wildebeest and zebra. Leopard are frequently encountered and endangered black rhino find sanctuary in dense thickets, while large rafts of hippo and enormous Nile crocodiles are found in the Mara River.

Indulge in three nights in a spacious ensuite tent at &Beyond Bateleur Camp, situated on a private concession leased from Maasai landlords. Your stay includes accommodation, three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, refreshments on game drives, scheduled safari activities, return airstrip transfers, emergency medical evacuation and laundry.

DAY 5 – 9: South coast

After your morning game drive and breakfast, you will return to Kichwa Airstrip for a flight to Ukunda Airstrip, from where you will be driven to your coastal retreat.

Protected by an offshore coral reef, Kenya’s south coast is famous for beautiful and safe beaches, as well as spectacular diving, fishing and surfing. Offshore are two magnificent marine reserves, Kisite Marine National Park and Mpunguti Marine National Reserve, both offering superb diving. A bit further south is Wasini Island and Wasini Reserve National Park, offering some of the best snorkelling in Africa.

Unwind for four nights in an ensuite cottage at Kinondo Kwetu. Your stay includes accommodation, three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines and non-luxury spirits, use of the gym, yoga equipment, weights, etc, excursions to Kinondo Kwetu community works in Kinondo Village, use of the wood-fired sauna, canoeing, use of snorkelling equipment, airstrip transfers to and from Ukunda, one PADI diving lesson in the pool, wireless internet and limited laundry.

DAY 9: Departure

Today you will depart from your coastal retreat and return to Ukunda Airport for a flight to Wilson Airport. On arrival, a member of the &Beyond team will be waiting to drive you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where your adventure with us will end.
