This safari begins and ends in Nairobi.

Day 1 : Giraffe Manor

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed be a member of the &Beyond team, who will assist you onto a transfer vehicle waiting to take you to Giraffe Manor.

Named after a Maasai watering hole, ―enkare nyarobi‖, which means ―place of cool waters‖, Nairobi is known for its leafy streets and parks. The skyline, with towering skyscrapers and imposing architecture also draws the attention of every arrival to the city. Not-to-be-missed is a visit to the city’s beautiful Uhuru Park

 

Spend one night at Giraffe Manor in a standard room with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes accommodation, 3 meals (where applicable), house wines, soft drinks, bottled water, beers, local spirits, laundry, airport transfers and excursions around Karen & Langata, entrance to the AFEW Giraffe Centre, a donation to AFEW as well as wireless internet access throughout the Manor.

Day 2 – 3: Laikipia Plateau

After breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Wilson Airport for your scheduled SafariLink flight to Nanyuki Airstrip. On arrival you will be met by a representative from Solio Lodge and transferred to the lodge

 

Lying on the edge of the Northern Frontier, the Laikipia Plateau stretches from the slopes of snow-capped Mt Kenya to the rim of the Great Rift Valley. Laikipia boasts one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa and is one of the last strongholds of the endangered black rhino. Despite its scattered mosaic of farms and cattle ranches, it is essentially still a wilderness, a wildlife refuge supporting huge numbers of game.

 

Enjoy two nights at Solio Lodge in a cottage with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes accommodation, all meals, house wines, house soft drinks, house beers, house spirits, laundry, bush breakfasts and sundowners, game drives, excursions to the Aberdare National Park, walking, horse riding, mountain biking, airstrip transfers.

Day 4 – 6:  Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart on your road transfer to Sasaab Camp. The drive will be approximately 5 hours

 

Situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ngíro River, with its palm groves and dense forests, the Samburu National Reserve offers pristine wilderness and breathtaking surrounds. As one of the lesser-visited regions of Kenya, this reserve promises exceptional game viewing in remote splendour.

 

Enjoy three nights at Sasaab Camp in a cottage with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes accommodation, all meals, game drives, guided bush walks, camel walks, cultural village visits, laundry, airstrip transfers, house wines, beers, soft drinks, local spirits and bottled water.

Day 7 – 8: Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will be transferred by road to the airstrip in time for your scheduled SafariLink flight to Masai Mara. On arrival, you will be met by a representative from Sala’s Camp and transferred to the lodge.

The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most renowned game park and forms the northern extension of the Serengeti. Its legendary Great Migration, of over two million wildebeest and other antelope, has been described as one of nature’s greatest wildlife spectacles — and an experience every safari enthusiast should witness at least once in their lifetime.

Experience two nights at Sala’s Camp in a luxury tent with ensuite bathroom with bucket showers only. Your stay includes accommodation, all meals, game drives, walks, laundry, airstrip transfers, house wines, beers, soft drinks, local spirits and bottled water.

Day 9: Departure

Depart to the airstrip for you scheduled SafariLink flight to Wilson Airport. On arrival, you will be met by a representative from &Beyond and transferred by road to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
